Learn how to create, trigger, and manage Workflow Builder workflows using the Workflow Builder API.

Follow these steps to launch your own Internal Application project.

1. **Sign up for a developer account**
If you haven’t already got one, sign up for your FREE [developer account](https://www.docusign.com/developers/sandbox?postActivateUrl=https://developers.docusign.com/&_gl=1*1d3gman*_gcl_au*ODczOTUxNTUwLjE3MjcyOTgwNDc.). The developer account gives you full access to build and test your integrations in our developer environment.
2. **Watch video**
Watch [create agreement workflows](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKTTzTo9Yps) using the Workflow Designer.
3. **Use a workflow template**
In the developer environment, choose a [workflow template](https://apps-d.docusign.com/send/workflowtemplates) to get started with an outline of your workflow. Follow the instructional guides included as part of the template to learn to configure a workflow.
4. **Browse the App Center**
Browse and install extension apps from the [Docusign App Center](https://apps-d.docusign.com/app-center) to extend your workflows with non-Docusign functionality.
5. **Customize your workflow**
Once you have the outline of your workflow, customize it further to fit the needs of your business. Use our [Workflow Builder support](https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?language=en_US\&bundleId=yff1696971835267\&topicId=dnx1696972415150.html) documentation for step by step guidance.

Note that Workflow Builder works in combination with the following capabilities:

   * [Web Forms](https://www.docusign.com/products/web-forms)
   * [ID Verification](https://www.docusign.com/blog/how-does-online-id-verification-work) (not available in the demo environment prior to purchase)
6. **Publish your workflow on the developer environment**
Once you have completed your workflow, publish it in the developer environment and test to ensure it is working properly.
7. **Purchase an IAM Production plan**
The Workflow Builder workflows require you to purchase an [IAM plan](https://ecom.docusign.com/plans-and-pricing/iam) to go-live with your integration in the production environment.
8. **Replicate the workflow and publish on Production**
Once you have purchased the IAM plan, you can replicate your workflow on production and publish it.
9. **Trigger your workflow**
Once your workflow is published on production, either use the workflow URL to trigger it as part of your web/email application or use the Workflow Builder API to make a call to trigger it.
10. **Ask the community**
If you have any questions about how to build, test or trigger your Workflow Builder workflow, review our [Workflow Builder support](https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?language=en_US\&bundleId=yff1696971835267\&topicId=dnx1696972415150.html) documentation or ask your question in the [Docusign Developer Community](https://community.docusign.com/developer-59) . You can also join the [API Office Hours](/developer-events) for a demo and live Q and A for additional information.
