# Creates a new upload request within a workspace

POST https://api-d.docusign.com/v1/accounts/{accountId}/workspaces/{workspaceId}/upload-requests
Content-Type: application/json

This operation creates a new upload request within a workspace. The upload request includes name, description, due date, and user assignments. New upload requests only support `draft` and `in_progress` statuses. Exactly one assignee is required, and each assignee must include first name, last name, and email. When status is `in_progress`, the request is sent immediately after creation.

This endpoint expects a CreateWorkspaceUploadRequestBody.

- `name` (string, required, nullable) — The name of the upload request
- `description` (string, required, nullable) — The description of the upload request
- `assignments` (list of CreateWorkspaceUploadRequestAssignment, required, nullable) — List of user assignments for the upload request
- `due_date` (datetime, optional, nullable) — The due date for the upload request
- `status` (enum, optional) — Enum representing the status of a workspace upload request
  - Allowed values: `draft`, `in_progress`, `overdue`, `complete`, `unknown`

- `sent_date` (datetime, optional, nullable) — The date the upload request was sent
- `completed_date` (datetime, optional, nullable) — The date the upload request was completed
