# How-To Guides for SOAP API

The how-tos in this section demonstrate how common [eSignature SOAP](/docs/esign-soap-api/esign101) scenarios work and how you can implement them into your own apps.

All eSignature SOAP API how-tos assume you are developing against a Docusign developer account, sometimes referred to as demo. A developer account is not specific to ID Evidence. If you have a developer account that you are using with our eSignature API, it will also work with the ID Evidence API. If you need to create a free developer account, select Developer Account then Create account from the menu at the top of the page.
