# Elastic templates

> Learn about elastic templates and how you can use them to simplify getting consent with your agreements.

An *elastic template* is a special kind of template that you can use in [embedded](/docs/esign-rest-api/esign101/concepts/embedding) scenarios to simplify getting consent to your agreements. Unlike a standard [template](/docs/esign-rest-api/esign101/concepts/templates) object, an elastic template wraps your document in a configurable iframe that you can embed in your own websites and apps. You can display an elastic template as a modal (a window positioned over your page), or inline as part of your page.

You can use an elastic template to record agreements from multiple users. Each time a new user accepts an agreement created from your elastic template, that agreement is stored with the elastic template object.

Elastic signing is the core feature of the Docusign [Click API](/docs/click-api). See [Elastic signing concepts](/docs/click-api/click101/concepts) for details on elastic signing, or the Click API [How-to guides overview](/docs/click-api/how-to) for example code for working with elastic templates.
